The Picture Galleries

Operating and getting the best from the picture galleries is quite simple and there are a few controls to help you get the best from the pictures.

The row of controls below the gallery is will let you view pictures, zoom in on them, leave comments and even email a friend to tell them what gem you have found! To find out what each control does, select an album to view by clicking on its title, then simply let your mouse hover over the control for a second and a tooltip will appear that tells you what it does.

Pressing the play button will start an automatic "slide show" of the pictures which you can stop at any time by pressing the stop control. You can step forwards and backwards manually by using the left and right arrow keys on the screen or on your computer's keyboard.

Using the magnifying glass you can zoom in to, and out of, the picture and by holding down the left mouse button on a zoomed in picture you can move it about - easier to do than explain!

The “Email a Friend” button does just that. Fill in the fields and message as instructed and press the send button. Your friend will receive an email with your message and a link to the picture.

The Lightbox view is a great way to look at the pictures to find out why, just give it a try!

The “Fast – Slow” slider governs the speed of the slide show and you can turn captions on and off with the tickbox. To return to the Album List press the button on the right marked “Album List”.

Finally, it is possible to leave comments about a picture should you for example; recognise somebody or even yourself in a picture. If so, please do leave a comment or contact Julian by email to Julian@watton.info and I will add it for you. To add a comment click on the stars in the bottom left picture of the picture and follow the instructions. The stars are quite difficult to see if there are no comments on the picture yet. They are there though so seek them out!!
