Welcome to the Watton.info Town Forums.
Forums are a great way to communicate, and we want to make your stay as pleasant and constructive as possible so please take your time to read through this page.
If this is your first experience with a "Forum" then it will help you to understand that a forum is public meeting place for open discussion of various topics. Online, a forum may also be referred to as a bulletin board or discussion area.
The main objective of the "Watton.info Town Forums" (for brevity let's just use "the forums") is to provide an area where you can interact with others asking questions, giving answers and joining discussions on many different topics.
The Watton.info website allows you "Guest" access to read the forums before joining. This is a good way to check them out until you get the urge to participate! If and when you decide you would like to post here, you will need to "join" the site by clicking on the "Sign Up" button on the top right of your screen. You will ONLY be able to post if you signed up and are logged in. (If you can see the Signin button top right then you are not signed in - if you can see your name then you are!).
Are there Rules for Using a Forum?
In general common sense prevails. But one unshakeable rule is that We will not tolerate you being rude to or about others. Like all online areas that are interactive, common sense Internet safety rules should be followed. Never give out personal information in a public area. Remember, anyone, anywhere will be reading what you have posted.
Forums are a great way to meet people who share similar interests and to learn more about the topic you are interested in. They can be fun, educational and supportive.
Remember, forums are public. Anything you post is being read by everyone else on the forum. Never ever post anything you don't want made public!! We will not tolerate rude or offensive behaviour, foul language or profanity and we will not allow defamatory remarks however justified you may feel in making them.
If you spot an offensive or inappropriate posting please click to contact the Editor without delay.
